Engineering Fall Festival and New Engineers Welcome is our kick-off event each academic year! Held during the first week of school, Fall Fest is a time for all engineering students to come out and see what organizations our college has to offer. From competition teams to diversity organizations, amateur technical clubs to honor societies, Fall Fest has it all, plus a professor dunk tank and great food provided by E-Club!
Come celebrate and congratulate all of our engineering competition teams on their successes this season. Each team will have a display and activity – we encourage all to attend! Free Jimmy Johns!
The Engineering Career Fair is one of our most popular events during the academic year. Over 100 companies attended last year’s career fair, all looking for the best and brightest engineers around. Held the day after the campus wide Career Fair, the Engineering Career Fair is host to companies from a wide array of industries, including Silicon Valley tech, aerospace and defense, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and everything in between. Suit up!
The Williams Student Leadership Retreat is an event for the engineering students interested in growing their leadership potential and having a ton of fun! Held at Post Oak lodge in Tulsa, OK (transportation provided) and sponsored by Williams, this is a great event that’s widely attended each year. Details about this event can be found on OrgSync closer to the event time.
Homecoming may only last one day, but the preparation for homecoming usually starts in the summer before school, and picks up during the month prior to homecoming. During that month, our Engineering King and Queen rally the engineers to help them build a float worthy of continuing our winning streak! This is a great time to get involved with E-Club as well as a number of other organizations, as each pomping night is usually hosted by one of our engineering organizations. If you’re artsy, if you like working with your hands, or if you just think tying pieces of plastic on chicken wire while networking sounds like a good time, then we’ll see you there!
Winter Ball is the annual semi-formal ball for the engineers to celebrate the beginning of the spring semester. Dress is semi-formal.
In the green spring of each year, the engineers take a break from their rigorous studying to celebrate their incredible history. With at least one event each day of the week, Engineers’ Week is a time for engineers to relax and enjoy their heritage- to learn more about this event, visit our page dedicated to Engineers’ Week and its many events!
